Participants will explore the classical idiom as a foundation for innovation, discovering how traditional vocabulary can evolve into fresh, contemporary expression.

Through guided movement sessions, collaborative exercises, and repertoire exploration, dancers will experience Ballet Edmonton’s distinctive, diverse choreographic voice in a safe, supportive, and curiosity-driven environment. Emphasis will be placed on dynamic phrasing, musicality, and nuanced artistry, offering tools to enrich both performance and creative practice.

This workshop is ideal for intermediate to advanced dancers eager to push boundaries while honoring ballet’s roots, and to engage directly with professional artists shaping the future of the art form.
